I was lured in by the cakes on a particular cold and wet day. Truly one of the best cakes I have tasted, the coconut cream, meringue cake base, prune jam and custard was just a symphony of texture and flavors that balanced out so well. My only regret is not going there more times and trying all their cake flavors. The servers were also very kind

Wow, the islandskake might be the most delicious thing I have ever eaten in my life. Super creamy and sweet, I haven't stopped thinking about it!! This cafe in general is so warm and cosy, I loved the basement level with all the candles, and the service was absolutely lovely. Very expensive even for Tromsø, but the islandskake is so worth it!!

Really nice and cozy cafe. There’s seating in the basement and also the 2nd floor but the basement is a nicer area. Coffee is good and the pastries are very good too. Fish soup is suppose to be good and many people around is ordered it. Find a table before ordering as it can get quite crowded.

I tried the fish soup, which didn’t sound appealing at first, but it was absolutely amazing! The homemade soup was rich and flavorful, with tender pieces of fish and a perfect blend of spices that warmed me up. If you love cakes like we do this is a must stop. You are going to stop for a coffee and something sweet to eat anything so why not get a delicious slice of cake here, it is so so go. Maybe get 2 slices. Highly recommend the lemon pie

Cozy little cafe in midtown, in a beautiful oldstyle colurful nordic building. Really cozy. I got a warm cup of chocolate and piece of cake. Gubbens tøffelkake. We also got the carrotcake and tea. They have many different kind of cake to choose between. 🍰 A warm recommed to visit if your are looking for cake and a drink in a lovely atmosphere. 🥰

To my foodie American palate the food experience here was divine and authentic. I’m just an inexperienced tourist here but was so surprised by the quality given my random choice to walk in. We had fish soup, green lasagna, and a success tart, all amazingly good. Such understated names for the meals delivered. In America these would be adorned with spectacular adjectives and they would all be accurate.

AMAZING FISH SOUP AND COFFEE! Creamy coconuty soup and the focaccia bread was brilliant! Mocha is amazing, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Brownie was tasty and raspberry & blueberry cake was great, fruity and sweet. Highly recommend! Such a great little gem. Plenty of seating available downstairs and upstairs. Beautiful snowy view at this time of year in December.

I am so impressed with all the cakes here. I loved all of the cakes I ordered and hope to be back again soon. The coffees were great complements to the cakes as well. Fantastic atmosphere, vibe and friendly service. Staff explained what each of the cakes were. I can spend an afternoon here reading and relaxing.

A peaceful café with a distinct retro ambience. The Island and Brownie cakes were delectable, and the kakao (hot chocolate) with cream was equally satisfying. The service provided was exceptional.
